[NODE/ELEMENT] How to add beams at the periphery of the plates?

A: The line elements are generated by converting the edges of a planar element into line elements.
To do this from Main menu go to
Node/Element
> Create element > Create Converted Line Elements.
1) Select appropriate Material and Section Properties for the Beam or Truss element to be created.
2) Select
the plates for which you want beams to be created.
Click
on Apply.
If elements
are
to be generated
only on the periphery of the region selected
check
on
‘
Create
only on
Periphery’.
