[DESIGN]     In model main beam is divided in several part because of secondary beam. How to design it as Single beam?

A: All the line elements that constitutes a beam has to be assigned as one single beam for design purpose.


From the main menu select Design > General > General Design parameter > Member Assignment


This either could be assigned manually or automatic.

Select ‘Manual’ if the user wants to specify the elements constituting the beam.

Selecting ‘Automatic’, the program would consider all possible elements that could be considered as a single beam


Hence for design computation the combined length of the assigned elements would be used.


Note: The elements considered for member assignment should have the same Section properties.
