Question:

A client asked me about MIDAS Gen and sent me his MIDAS Gen file. When I opened the file, however, the file can't be opened. There's the command saying "File.mgb contains an incorrect path." I opened this file with MIDAS Gen 2018 v.2.1 version. The troubled file is attached below. I can't figure out why it can't be opened. Please give me the solution to open this file, for this issue is quite urgent now.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon, thank you very much...

Best Regards,

Answer:
Hello,

The English version of midas Gen cannot support the Chinese, so please delete the "煙囪" letter of the file title. And then you can open the file successfully. Before opening the file, also check on the china code option in the license dialog.

Thank you. :)

Hello, I've renamed the file (attached below). However, the file still can't be opened because of Chinese License matter (just as you told me). I want to check the china code option in the license dialog, just as what you told me. What step must I take to check the china code in the license dialog? I need your immediate reply, for this is highly critical. Thank you in advance...

Hello,

Here is the step for checking on the china code option.

hello, I've done exactly as what you told me, but the china code can't be checked... Even all options can't be checked at all... What's wrong with it..? Thank you in advance...

Hello,

Thank you for your patience.

There are three ways to solve your problem. Try it one by one, and then check your license key. ( It means you do not need to do all the 3 ways. With the 1st solution, the issue can be solved.)

1) If midasgen seems to be turned off but the process is alive, close the program in Task Manager.

2) Delete the Sentinel Protection Installer from the Program panel. And then re-install Sentinal lock via C: \ Program Files \ Midas \ midas Reinstall with Gen \ Protection drivers.

3) Delete the midasGen folder from the current user in the registry.

Thank you.
