Answer:
Hello ,
We recommend that you extract wg_main.dll to the installation directory of the program ( C:\Program Files\MIDAS\midas Civil ) that is requesting wg_main.dll. If that doesn't work, you will have to extract wg_main.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7,8,10)
If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place wg_main.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
Reboot your computer.
If the problem still occurs, try the following:
1. Open Windows Start menu and select "Run...".
2. Type CMD and press Enter.
3. Type regsvr32 wg_main.dll and press Enter.
Kindly let us know if further assistance would be required.

Hello,
We have written wg_main.dll in these directories but then the civil doesn't run.
We have try register with regsvr32 wg_main.dll but the attached error is shown.
If we install Civil 2018 the program runs OK with all users for the machine but if I install 2019 then only run for administrator user.
Hello,
Sorry I couldn't write back sooner. We haven't received such issue from other users. However, its best when midas Civil is used as an administrator. Is it possible to just run midas Civil 2019 as an administrator?
If the above option works, it is recommended to use this as default setting from the Properties in the same menu. Kindly let us know if further assistance would be required.

Nandeep

Hello, if we run as administrator the error keeps showing.
I have tried to uninstall Civil 2019 and delete records (in regedit) but the problem persists.
If I install in this same machine the Civil version 2018 if it works well.
But if I uninstall version 2018 and reinstall version 2019 the problem reappears.
This computer
was working well with version 2019 until the user, in a civilian midas
2019 model, gave an error and has not restarted with its user.
Please, this problem starts to be very urgent to solve
Hello,
I've asked our development team to look into the issue. In the mean time, kindly let us know if the patch below solves the issue.
To apply the patch, please follow the steps below:
1) Download the patch by Clicking on above patch link
2) Extract the content of the file
3) Paste them at the location where midas Civil is installed. Default location is - C:\Program Files\ MIDAS\midas Civil
4) When prompted to replace existing files, please click yes
I'll update about the development team response here once they let me know of further steps.

Hello, we have installed the patch but it is not working.
I have tried to run the MIDAS with another new user on that machine and if it works.
It has to be something associated with the user profile that remains when I uninstall.
What do I have to do to delete all the records associated with the user once I uninstall civil 2019?
Thanks in advanced,
Hello,
Well, only the registry needs to be cleaned. I believe you are quite well aware of that process.
Step 1) Go to WIndows> Run
Step 2) Enter: "regedit" and click OK
Step 3) Remove all the folders having name midas from the registry.
Kindly let me know if you have any progress with the other user account.

Hello,
But Gen, GTS-NX and other MIDAS software is intalled in this PC. Can you specify the records for MIDAS Civil, please?
Hello,
Specifically for Civil, just remove the folders with CVLw at the start as shown in the image below.

Hello,
The developer has further recommended the following.
If you have problems installing on a new PC, please try the following steps.
1. Is the explorer running?
If the explorer does not run properly, try to install it with the explorer running.
2. Delete all security programs or execute exceptions.
3. Copy the Civil installation files from another place to your PC.
1) Install civil on another PC.
2) Copy the files installed in C: \ Program Files \ MIDAS \ midas Civil
Send it to the user and execute it.
Please check 1, 2 and 3 in order.
Kindly let us know of a suitable time to conduct the team viewer session if that doesn't resolve the issue.

Hello,
That has not worked but I've noticed that if I rename the image folder if it starts.
I tried to copy that folder from another PC that works but still gives the error.
I have tried to uninstall and delete all the records that you indicate but the error continues.
However, if you install Civil 2018 on this PC with this user, it works.
What makes these two files?
Hello,
we have confirmed that if I rename 3D_2Bay_frame.tpd the civil starts
Hello,
I am really surprised you manage to find that! Plus, it shouldn't logically have anything to do with wg_main.dll.
I'll ask the development team to look into it. Also, this file is actually for loading in task pane for 3D 2 bay frame as the name suggests. As such, this file has no impact on using midas Civil. This file could even be deleted.
Out of curiosity, how did you manage to find that this file was causing the problem?

Ji, ji, ji, I also do the software test.
The user has indicated to me that the problem arises when I was testing the tool that I show you in the image
Please, tell the developers, it will give you a clue
Hello ,
He he he... Good to know that we have someone of your caliber at that end!
I'll inform the developer about this anomaly. Will close the ticket here. Kindly let us know if further assistance would be required.
