Question:
Hi,
I am using load envelopes to view force result tables for my model. I am interested in viewing governing load cases for each result value from the load envelope. I know that all other software pretty much have this option where you can view the governing load cases for load envelopes.
Does Midas have any feature like this? I am not able to find it.
Secondly, is there a way for me to highlight one of the result columns just to help myself with better visualization.
Lastly, how can I search the maximum force value in the table?
Thanks
Answer:
Hello,
In midas Civil, the result table could be sorted by value in ascending or descending order. Just open the required result table, right click on it and click on sorting dialogue. From the sroted result, we can check as to which load case is having the worst result. This would also help in getting the maximum or minimum value.
As for highlighting the column, just click on the column name at top of the table and the column would be highlighted.

Thanks for the information.
I am actually talking about if I am looking at only one "load envelope" and within that envelop I am interested in which "load case" is resulting the load envelope vulues.
just to show you what I mean, see below screenshot. I am looking at ULS 1 ENV table. Now, this envelope has about 30 load cases enveloped within and I am interested in seeing governing load case within the envelope for virtual section 7.
Hello,
Yes, what I suggested works when other load cases forming the envelop are also tabulated. As such, midas Civil doesn't directly show the load case name as this could be different for all elements and would again be just as big a table.
Kindly let us know if further assistance would be required.
