Effective width for the composite section
Question:
What value do you insert in ‘Bc’ field for the width of the
deck [this is within the properties – section – composite tab]. Would you use the full width or the effective width? If you use the full width, would the software consider the
effective section?
Answer:
It is recommended to use the effective width. The software does not automatically consider effective width.
