Question:

Hello
How can I boud negative pore pressure to 0 kPa above the water pressure line in Initial seepage stage analysis.
Water pressure is defined with Total head option, not with Water level option
Where I can change teh value of gravity and density of water in software?
Regards

Answer:

Dear User,

Even though, you set the Max. negative pore pressure, it is not affecting whole construction stage. Negative pore pressure will be calculated internally at the initial condition within the Max. value what you set. It will not be forcibly restricted next step.

So, It will be restricted with max. negative pore pressure when you give a short time step.

If you give long time step, negative pore pressure will be going to equilibrium.

From the GTS NX, It is not continuously restricted the negative pore pressure due to prevent an unintentional flux.
