What is the effect of offset to internal force of plate element?

Offset basically means that the elements are on an internal rigid link, like a portal frame.  Kindly consider the image below.

The first image from left is for a plate without offset.  Second is for the plate with offset and third is plate without offset, but modeled to replicate the offset condition.  It could be noted that the second and third give similar results.  The sample model is also attached for review.
