Interface test

Hi,

I did a interface test, as you can see model is perfectly symmetric in terms of geometry, load, and boundary, but results are strange and do not make sense. Could you please give me your opinion?

Hi,

The point interface should be used to line element. For the solid element, like your model, plane interface should be used.

1. Delete Point interface elements in your model.

2. Merge the separated nodes between two blocks.

3. Generate plane interface element between two block.

4. The specified displacement should be downward.

Here is the results. Please find the revised model.
