Load to Mass conversion
Question:
I am getting an error when trying to convert a pressure load to mass. I get the error 'The direction of gravity can only load conversion. Failed to generate mesh'.
Answer:
Hi,
I am getting an error when trying to convert a pressure load to mass. I get the error 'The direction of gravity can only load conversion. Failed to generate mesh'.
This seems to be the case for any type of load that I try to convert from load to mass. I have tried a pressure distribution based on a defined General Function, a Uniformly Distributed Load, Point Loads, etc. It appears that the Load to Mass function does not work.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
Thank you,
Answer:
Hi,
The pressure loads that you are trying to convert to masses are acting in the global X direction. The pressure loads which are acting in the global Z direction ( or gravitational direction) can only be converted to mass.
