How to install midas software for Windows

This guide explains how to install midas products 😃

1. System requirements

Midas Programs operate on IBM compatible Personal Computer(PC) in the Windows environment. In addition, Midas programs require the following minimum configuration :

In general, better system will make the analysis and software performance smoother and faster. (higher memory Ram, local drive storage, etc.) There are system recommendations :

3. User ID

New midas users must have a user ID to use midas software.

Sign up for a new user ID: https://account.midasuser.com/user_en/join.asp

Most of the midas product's installations are similar. In this guide, midas Civil installation will be demonstrated.  

1. Download the installation file

To download the installation file, please visit our MIDAS Customer Online Support.

All installation files are in the knowledge base tab.

There are serveral options in the installation file link. generally, download the general execution files to install. 

Downloading will start when you click the link.

2. Extract the installation file.

The installation file is in the folder which a user sets to save after the downloading is finished.

Extract the installation file properly, then open the extracted folder. 

3. Proceed the installation

Run the setup application to start an installation. (Run as administrator)

Follow the Installation order

Click 'Yes' after reading the License Agreement when you agree.

Enter User Name and Company Name.

Check the software destination folder(Some errors occur when the destination folder is not proper) 

Select the feature you want to install. It's recommended to select the ones that are selected automatically.

Install the VectorDraw

Install the Visual C++

Install the Lock Driver(You can select 'Do not install' if you have the Web License type)

Reboot your PC after the installation.
