Question:Hello,
I am modeling a spliced, post-tensioned, concrete I-girder in Midas Civil, and am in need of some direction. Please reference the attached beam line model. Once I have a better understanding of how to model spliced, post-tensioned, concrete I-girders in Midas Civil, I will be creating a full grillage model.
1. Although the program successfully completes the analysis, when I try to perform the PSC Design check for AASHTO LRFD, I get the following error message: “Data for PSC design does not exist.” What data is required to run the PSC Design? Can you specifically point out what is missing in my file to be able to run the PSC Design?
2. When trying to assign a Design/Output Position for the PSC Design, I get the following error message: “Only PSC Beam Type Element is Applicable.” Is the section that I used not compatible with the PSC Design tool?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Answer:Hi,
When you define the material for PSC section to use 'PSC Design tool', you should select 'Concrete' as type of design on 'Material Data' dialog as shown below.
As you can see, you can define properties by yourself if you select 'None' as concrete standard.
Thanks & Regards,
