How to consider 50% of live load as mass for seismic analysis?

Answer: 
Beam loads, nodal loads, floor loads, and pressure could be converted to mass using the Load to masses function.  The factor of 0.5 could be applied to consider 50% of the load as mass.

Usually, the live load is applied using the moving load feature in midas Civil.  We need to create a static load case representing the vehicle on the structure.  This can be done in 2 ways:
1)  From the moving loads by using the Moving Load Tracer function.  We can obtain a static load case representing a specific vehicle position on the structure and then this static load case needs to be converted to mass using the Load to mass function.
2)  An approximate live load could be applied to the entire structure based on engineering judgment as bean load and then this could to be converted into mass using the Load to mass function.
